Students in the intermediate grades are invited to get involved as student leaders.  They may be selected to be classroom monitors, peer helpers, house games referees, office monitors, etc.

Our peer helper/monitor program at Tyson is available to our grade 5 students. Students selected for this leadership opportunity will be given training in communication skills, leadership skills, and act as friends, helpers and resource persons to students in our school.  We believe that this type of program is a benefit to the entire school community.  Students who help others also benefit by developing a greater sense of self-confidence, responsibility and understanding of others.
