Next Scholastic Book Fair: October 27-29, 2020

Our bookfair is now complete! Thanks for your support....Tyson library earned $1398.48 in books and reading prizes!

 

Reading List Challenges: 48 lists to choose

Do you LOVE to read and earn prizes? Then you're going to LOVE our Reading List Challenges, created by Mrs. Klassen for students in Grades 2-5. Each list has 10 books to read. After each book, a parent/caregiver needs to initial and date the sheet, and then sign it when all 10 books are complete. Books from home or the Public Library can also be used. Hand it in to Mrs. Klassen, and pick a PRIZE at next month's REWARDS DAY.

One School, One Book: January, 2021

In January, 2021, each family and staff member at Tyson Elementary will be participating in this dynamic literary event! 

This will be our 6th year and we are so grateful to the PAC for generously funding this program with prizes and a copy of the book for each family in our school.

Our previous books were: Because of Winn-Dixie, The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane, Poppy, Charlotte's Web, and Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing.

     November 17th: Virtual presentation with FVRL, reading begins

     November 30: Reading Link Challenge Team form is due

     February 28: All six titles are read 

     March: In-school battle

     April: District battle

The Great Book Exchange 

Do you have books in good condition that you would like to donate to the school? The Tyson library is accepting donations now in preparation for The Great Book Exchange that will take place in the month of June. Tyson library LOVES your gently used books!
